I’m Jack Troy, a reporter covering business and health care for TribLive in Pittsburgh.
My work has brought an on-the-ground perspective to the contentious sale of U.S. Steel, translated rapid changes in federal health policy into patient impacts and examined the existential pressures on brick-and-mortar pharmacies.
I previously covered three districts and more than 10 communities in the Alle-Kiski Valley, a region east of Pittsburgh, with a focus on government accountability and economic revitalization. During this time, I co-led a project spotlighting the sector-by-sector impacts of rapid inflation, earning a Golden Quill Award.
I've also had bylines in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh's Public Source, Pittsburgh City Paper and The Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh’s student paper.
